We Want To Be Your Residential Contractor

Q: How do we get started?
A: Meet with us to discuss all aspects of your project. Call us at (775) 746-3339 or email at info@stevewhiteconstruction.com to set up an appointment.

Q: How long will the project take from start to finish?
A: Depending on the size and type of the project it could take as little as a month or up to 12 months.
Q: What is the ballpark cost of a project?
A: There is no easy answer to this because projects from custom homes, additions, remodels, kitchens and baths are all different for each client. You will have different tastes in products than others so your project could cost less or more than another similar project.

Q: Will our project require a permit?
A: Depending on what is needed for your project, you may or may not need a permit. We can discuss this during our first meeting.

Q: Is our project going to need an architect or engineer?
A: If you are building a new home, expanding your current residence, altering bearing walls, or reconfiguring rooms, you will need to talk with an architect and sometimes an engineer.

Q: Will we need to relocate while you are remodeling our home?
A: In most cases, no. But if your project is extensive you might decide that it's best to relocate.
Q: How experienced are you and your employees?
A: I have over 30 years in the industry and my employees have various degrees of skills and knowledge.

Q: Do you and your employees do the work or do you hire subcontractors?

A: SWC does all of the demo, framing, and finish work when our schedule allows it. We manage all subcontractors responsible for plumbing, electrical, mechanical, tile work, drywall, painting, concrete, roofing, etc.
Q: Are you licensed? If yes, in which states and what type of licenses?
A: Yes, In Nevada we have a B2 - Residential/Small Commercial General Contractor license and a C3 - Carpentry, Maintenance, and Minor Repairs license. In California, we have a B - General Building Contractor license.
Q: Is there any project too small or too big?
A: The simple answer is "NO", as long as it's covered in the scope of our licenses.
